Instructors / Team
The instructor team at Kayak School Arlberg is second to none! We have been exploring, teaching kayaking and leading expeditions in Nepal for over 14 years.
Our Yoga instructor studied in an Ashram in India and is qualified in Hatha Yoga, he is also a kayaker and a fantastic teacher. A real nice guy with a friendly smile, what more would you expect!?
Our support team and safety kayakers are the best Nepal has to offer. We have known our Nepali brothers since our very first days of coming to this magical country. Hard working and their love for the river and its surroundings are infectious!
All of our instructors and trip leaders have wilderness first aid and vast experience in remote and wilderness locations.
The yoga we will be practicing will be Hatha style. Hatha Yoga’s combined focus on mindfulness, breathing and physical movements brings health benefits with regular participation. Get rid of those aches, pains and stresses in life during our morning and evening sessions with un-believable surroundings.
Accommodation and Food
While in Kathmandu and Pokhara we will be staying at select accommodation based on twin sharing chosen by ourselves. On the river we will be sleeping on beaches in quality tents.
In Kathmandu and Pokhara there are plenty of choices of restaurants to suit every palette! While on the river we will be eating wholesome tasty food. Naturally all food will be fresh and hygienically prepared.
Water on the river will be treated to make it safe for drinking.
Our support teams Rum Punch is legendary throughout the Himalayas!
As this is a beginners kayak trip absolutely no experience in kayaking is necessary. Our Yoga instructor can accommodate all ranges of experience so if you are a complete beginner to practicing everyday, there will be something for everyone.
A basic standard of fitness will be an advantage as we will be kayaking for around 4 to 5 hours a day. This gives us time to explore villages, check out the mountain views or just kick back and let life and time drift on by!
The maximum number of clients for the trip will be 12.
We will have a ratio of no more than 4 clients:1 kayak instructor
On the river we will have 2-3 extra safety kayakers with us
The Yoga sessions will be taken by 1 Yoga Instructor
